Above the Waters

Another example of Jesus in the shadow of the Scriptures…

Daniel 12:5-7
Then I, Daniel, looked and behold, two others were standing, one on this bank of the river and the other on that bank of the river. And one said to the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be until the end of these wonders?” I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time; and as soon as they finish shattering the power of the holy people, all these events will be completed.

Matthew 14:25-27
And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea. When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”

According to Hebrew thought the term “above the waters” is symbolic of authority and dominion over the peoples and the nations of the earth.

The man dressed in linen who was above the waters was Jesus before He came to earth. And Jesus, walking on the sea, is showing us that He has authority and dominion over the peoples and the nations of the earth.

Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”

So…

Have you seen Jesus in the shadow of the Scriptures?
