Moths

An analogy…

Jesus is a Light and you and I are moths.

John 8:12

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

Our first priority is to head to the Light.

Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Our second priority is to lead others to the Light.

And the closer we get to the Light the more like Jesus we become, reflecting His Light.

John 3:21

“But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”
