How Smart is Smart?
There are a lot of people who are intellectually smart but who don’t believe in God - not very smart.
Matthew 13:10, 11
And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” Jesus answered them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.”
Spiritually smart people are those people who have been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 13:16, 17
“But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”
Of the two kinds of “smart”, being spiritually smart is the one that counts because many prophets and righteous men desired to see what they see, and did not see it, and to hear what they hear, and did not hear it.
