What is Eternal Life

What is eternal life?…

John 17:3

“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

The Greek word for know is ginōskō and it does not mean to “know about” but rather it means to “know personally” like two friends know each other.

We can go to the library and read about George Washington but we can never know George Washington personally.

Jesus equates eternal life with knowing God and Himself personally.

So…

Do you know the only true God (or did you just read about Him in a book)?

Do you have eternal life?
