Imagine

Imagine for a moment that you are a soldier in the army. And imagine you’re in the middle of a fierce battle with bombs falling all around and bullets flying overhead. Then imagine a hand grenade lands right next to you about to explode but one of your fellow soldiers throws himself on it sacrificing himself so that you might live.

Spiritually speaking that is just what Jesus has done…

John 10:11

“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.”

In the war for our souls Jesus, the Good Shepherd, laid down His life sacrificing Himself on the cross so that you and I might live.

So…

Are you alive because the Good Shepherd laid down His life?
